We are excited to start the new year with a new activity: The COVID-19 Burden of Disease Training School. 

The COVID-19 Disease Burden Training School (TS) is a collaboration between the burden-eu COST Action and the PHIRI project and will take place in person in Ljubljana (Slovenia) between the 30th of March and the 1st of April 2022 (3 days). At the moment, we do NOT plan to have a hybrid meeting.

Introduction

We are pleased to invite you to our #PHIRI1YEAR Anniversary event that will take place on Tuesday 30th of November (9.30-12.45 CET), themed Fostering population health research in a (post) pandemic Europe.

The 14th European Public Health Conference will take place as a virtual event in November 2021 with the theme: "Public health futures in a changing world".

As COVID-19 pandemic continue to unroll, more and more countries are assessing the population health impact of COVID-19. The burden of disease approach offers a framework that allows for comprehensive and comparable population health impact assessments, making it possible to compare the impact of COVID-19 to that of other diseases and risk factors.

In this webinar, we will unveil some initial estimates of the burden of COVID-19 at population level. We will also zoom in on post COVID conditions, which constitute a significant, but to date highly uncertain, contribution to the overall COVID-19 disease burden.
