The objective of this project is to study the impact of important labour market events – unemployment, precarious work and retirement – on health (on the incidence of specific groups of diseases, not just on professional diseases). Specifically, the project addresses the following research questions:

e-Certification of Causes of Death

eCCD

The eCCD (e-Certification of Causes of Death) project took place in years 2014-2016 to develop prototype of electronic data collection on causes of death, to perform the feasibily study and to prepare a national action plan on eCCD implementation. The full financing of eCCD came into force in 2020, when the new projects started, which is the implementation phase of original eCCD, but taking into account the newly developed and implemented solutions in eHealth system.

Pre-testing of new variables on mental health and patient experience for future EHIS waves

The aim of the present project was to pre-test Slovene translations of new questions on mental health (Mental health continuum – Short form MHC-SF; 14 questions) and patient experience (PE; 10 questions) proposed for the possible inclusion in future European Health Interview Survey (EHIS) waves.

 

Behavioural Insights Survey on COVID-19: Slovenia

Pandemic fatigue is the expected and natural human response to long-lasting public health crisis that significantly interferes with the daily life of an individual. It appears gradually and is influenced by emotions, experience, and attitudes. It is a response to long-lasting and unsolved distress in people’s lives. The severity and the scope of COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of strict measures to prevent and limit the transmission of the infection have a huge impact on the daily lives of all people, including those not directly affected by the virus.

Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in Slovenia

Delivering healthcare that is responsive and patient-centred is an important goal of the health system in Slovenia. In this context, patient experiences and outcomes are important indicators of the system's performance. By means of the project ‘Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in Slovenia’, the Ministry of Health of Slovenia is aiming at:
- The development of a methodology on PREMs and PROMs according to Slovenian needs;
- The implementation of the first national pilot on PREMs and PROMs;

Discover Diabetes (Odkrijmo sladkorno)

The goals of the project "Discover Diabetes" ("Odkrijmo sladkorno") are:

- to assess the proportion of those diabetic patients in whom diabetes has not yet been detected;

- to assess the proportion of those who have diagnosed diabetes but manage it without medication;

- to determine the prevalence of diabetes in individual population groups (age, sex, socio-economic status, geographical area);
