This page supports capacity building in data quality across the health data ecosystem. It aims to strengthen a shared understanding of concepts, methods, and tools that ensure health data is reliable, standardised, and suitable for secondary use in research, policy development, and healthcare improvement within the European Health Data Space. It brings together structured learning resources covering data quality and secondary use of health data. These include training materials developed within the QUANTUM project, namely the QUANTUM Academy, as well as selected external resources that complement and extend the scope of the project content.

QUANTUM Academy

To support understanding of the QUANTUM Data Quality, Utility and Maturity Label, dedicated training is provided through the QUANTUM Academy. It offers structured learning materials, practical guidance, and project-specific insights to help users understand and apply the QUANTUM framework.

QUANTUM Academy Syllabus overview

The QUANTUM Academy curriculum targets Data Users, Data Holders, and Health Data Access Bodies (HDABs). It is designed to be broadly applicable while allowing users to explore content at different levels of depth depending on their needs.

The QUANTUM Academy is hosted by the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD), which was the QUANTUM partner in charge of leading this work package within the project. It is free of charge. The QUANTUM course can be accessed through the i~HD Academy, where registration and self-enrolment are necessary.

External data quality training resources

To complement the QUANTUM Academy, a selection of external training resources is provided to support a broader understanding of data quality in secondary health data use. These resources are particularly useful for users new to the field or seeking to deepen their expertise.

The need for strengthened data quality understanding was confirmed in Deliverable D4.1 Stakeholder learning needs assessment mapped to learning objectives.
