FPS Social Security plays a transversal, policy preparation and international role in providing social security benefits to citizens. Social security is a system that guarantees income and/or care for persons and families who, temporarily or permanently, are not (or no longer) able to provide (sufficient) income and/or care for themselves. In addition to the FPS Social Security, there are various Public Social Security Institutions (PSSI) which carry out their missions in a specific branch of social security.
