To establish a large European cohort study of CHD and stroke in men and in women in all centres with follow-up data in the MONICA Project. To assess the predictive ability of the genetic polymorphisms of candidate genes for the subsequent development of CHD or stroke. The MONICA Project was established in the early 1980s in many Centres around the world to MONItor trends in Cardiovascular diseases (coronary heart disease (CHD) event registration is obligatory, stroke registration optional), and tolerate these to risk factor changes in the population over a ten year period.
To provide a scientific dissemination facility of the MONICA database in the form of CD files of data and also as a Monograph.

the main objective of the Joint Action is to act as the main preparatory body for the eHealth Network. By doing so, the Joint Action aims to develop political recommendations and instruments for cooperation in the four specific priority areas that are specified in the eHealth Network's multi-annual work plan 2015-2018 and that were adopted by the eHealth Network in May 2014: (1) Interoperability and standardisation; (2) monitoring and assessment of implementation; (3) exchange of knowledge and (4) global cooperation and positioning.

The objective of JAMIE is to have by the end of 2013 in the majority of MSs a common hospital based surveillance injury system in operation enabling EC and MSs to monitor injury risks. JAMIE will:
- refine the current methodology for collecting hospital based injury data with a view to allow data collection also in less resourced settings and to ensure that the quality of data will meet the EuroStat-quality requirements; and
- incorporate in 26 out of the eligible countries (EU31) into the European IDB monitoring system and into the IDB-exchange mechanism.

The general objective of JAHEE is to improve health and well-being of  European citizens and achieve greater equity in health outcomes across all groups in society in all participants countries and in Europe at large. In addition JAHEE will also include a specific focus on both vulnerable groups and migrants.

The International Network of Obstetric Survey Systems (INOSS) is a multinational collaboration of organisations conducting prospective population-based studies of serious illnesses in pregnancy and childbirth. 

The overall objective of HDP2 is to produce an internationally comparable hospital activity data set for Europe.

HBM4EU is generating evidence of the actual exposure of citizens to chemicals and the possible health effects in order to support policy making.
