Combining and integrating on-going cohort studies in order to produce evidence on ageing-related health characteristics and determinants in Europe, and their socio-economic implications. 

EHDEN’s mission is to reduce the time to provide an answer in real world, health research. It will achieve this by developing the required infrastructure in a federated network at scale across Europe, collaboration on research methodologies, and education in an open science collaboration.

1. Establish a sustainable European network for the exchange of experiences and knowledge at the health care institutions level in order to improve the quality of care and services.
2. Inform and advise decision-makers, health care professionals, care givers and citizens in general through convergent recommendations in terms of health policy.
3. Reduce the risks associated with psychotropic drugs, with a common focus on their use; in particular that of antipsychotics, as a common ground for the 4 core questions and as a guide to support the implementation of good practices in the field of risk prevention.
