WHO and the Ministry of Health of Armenia, supported by the European Union (EU), will host a subregional meeting to share the outcomes of the pilot introduction of the educational module "Immune Patrol" on the immune system and immunization in Armenia. This initiative is part of the broader EU-funded project "Vaccination Saves Lives," aimed at bolstering COVID-19 vaccine deployment and strengthening routine vaccination systems in Eastern Partnership countries. Immune Patrol, a game-based educational module designed for students aged 10–12, was trialled in five Armenian schools in December 2022, benefiting over 500 students. Thanks to collaboration between WHO, the Armenian Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, and EU funding, Immune Patrol will soon be integrated into Armenia's general school curricula to promote healthy lifestyles. The meeting will bring together representatives from national immunization programs, health ministries, education ministries across various countries, including Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, along with WHO experts, temporary advisers, and EU representatives. Attendees will learn from Armenia's implementation experiences and explore opportunities to integrate Immune Patrol into their own countries' school curricula, drafting action plans for this purpose.
