WHO introduced the 'PRET - Preparedness and Resilience for Emerging Threats' initiative in April 2023, drawing lessons from recent epidemics and pandemics. PRET focuses on integrated pandemic preparedness and response planning, offering a unique perspective by examining the mode of disease transmission. This approach is now being disseminated globally through regional and national workshops and simulation exercises. A one-hour webinar will showcase regional and national experiences in implementing PRET concepts and activities, providing valuable insights into this innovative approach to pandemic preparedness.
