Across Europe, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted and exacerbated pre-existing problems in the long-term care sector. Nursing homes have long faced a myriad of financial, staffing, and operational difficulties. The pandemic has ushered in new concerns and, in many countries, nursing home residents have been especially vulnerable to COVID-19. This webinar focuses on understanding what we can learn from the measures taken during the first wave and what we can learn in order to develop a more resilient sector in the long term after COVID-19.
