Successful responses to the COVID-19 pandemic require coordination within and across governments. Within governments, leaders centralised power early in the response, concentrating their authority. Even in federations, policy-making was temporarily centralised, with the central government taking more decisions than usual. Across governments, policy-makers initially adopted differing approaches to coordinating the pandemic response between central, regional, and local government. This webinar focuses on discussing whether it will be good enough to meet the current challenge.
