The 2nd edition of WLPF, scheduled for November 6-8, 2023, in The Hague, Netherlands, will focus on "Leveraging regional partnerships for local production and equitable access, worldwide." It aims to facilitate global discussions, industry engagement, and collaborations while identifying priority health technologies for transfer to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The event will explore strategies to promote sustainable local production capacity and address bottlenecks in producing high-quality health products and technologies.
The thematic areas of the forum include modeling sustainable local production ecosystems, leveraging regional initiatives and partnerships, reaching vulnerable populations within regional production contexts, strengthening local production capacity, and enhancing local production for global health security and emergency preparedness.
The three-day event will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and showcases to engage the audience interactively. The outcomes of this second WLPF will contribute to discussions on the impact of local production and technology transfer and result in a comprehensive report.
