Overview
NRKN is a register focused on obtaining and collecting information on performed operations with the use of artificial joint replacement. This register is a new element in the documentation, monitoring and overview of such focused orthopedic care and is an integral part of it. The task of the NRKN is to register data on treatment with the use of an endoprosthesis and specific information specifying this treatment in more detail.
NRKN provides summary data for statistical overviews both at the national level and for international comparisons, for epidemiological studies, medical research and monitoring the quality of this care.
The summary data is the basis for early signaling of premature failure of a specific type of implant or the method of its application. A comparison of the individual parameters of a specific care provider and aggregate data for the nation as a whole can be used, after further professional evaluation, to assess the quality of care and to correct deficiencies, create, implement and evaluate preventive health programs. Anonymous individual data may be provided for epidemiological studies and medical research only in accordance with applicable laws and with the consent or explanatory comment of the NRKN Council.
