Overview
The purpose of the social care treatment notification register is to produce information about social care institutional care and round-the-clock and non-round-the-clock housing services, home care, the operations of institutions and their customers for national and regional monitoring and research. Social care service providers make a care report for clients cared for in institutional care and round-the-clock housing services at the end of the care and, in addition, a client count at the end of the year. The register of care notifications of social care contains information since 1995. Small changes have been made to the information content of the register during this time, but the most essential information content has remained almost the same as the information describes the service provider, the customer, becoming a customer (for treatment) and leaving treatment, as well as the treatment and services received by the customer. Individual-level information in social and healthcare registers must be kept confidential. However, for the use of THL's registers and documents, an information permit can be applied for from the information permit authority in the social and health sector, Findata.
